This photo journal challenge is very easy to keep up because it doesn’t take much time at all. You pick a theme and then you take one picture each day that is related to the theme. Since most of us carry their cameras / phones with us all the time a picture is only one click away. You can pick any theme that appeals to you. Here are a few examples:

• Beauty
• Nature
• Close-up: go very close to an object until it reveals an unusual structure
• Textures
• Colors: find something that is mostly consisting of one color, like shades of green in a tree, beige of the pavement, blue of the lake, etc.
• Food
• Energy (or another abstract word): Find something that expresses energy like a twirling child or a waterfall.
• New angle: Find an object that you see every day and take a picture of it in an uncommon angle.

The reason why I like the photo journal challenge a lot is that it allows you to do something creative without having to prepare anything. It is quick and easy which makes it hard to come up with excuses to drop it. And after a while it really can change your way of perceiving what is around you. You will be more aware and you will be on the watch for something beautiful or interesting without even knowing.
